Everything you need to send, receive, and process Zcash payments - fast, private, and worldwide.
Sending ZEC requires a Zcash wallet, the recipient's address (Unified Address or transparent address), and a small transaction fee. Zcash transactions typically confirm in about 75 seconds (one block time).
For maximum privacy, send from and to shielded addresses (those starting with "u" for Unified Addresses or "zs" for legacy Sapling addresses). Transparent addresses (starting with "t") are visible on the blockchain like Bitcoin transactions.
For mobile: Zashi (official), Nighthawk, YWallet. For desktop: Zecwallet Lite, zcashd (full node). All support sending to Unified Addresses.

Zcash uses ZIP-317 proportional fees. Standard transactions cost approximately 0.00001 ZEC (one zatoshi per byte, roughly). Fees are paid to miners and are much lower than Ethereum gas fees.
Most Zcash wallets support QR code scanning for payments. The ZEC URI format encodes the address and optional amount: zcash:ADDRESS?amount=0.01
